Other Advancer rebids
- Moderating bid after a
reverse (the 4th suit if it is at level 2, otherwise preference in the openning suit). All other bids show values for game:
- 1C-1S-2D-2H = moderating
- 1C-1H-2D-2S = moderating
- 1D-1S-2H-3D = moderating
- 1C-1S-2H-3C = moderating
- 1C-1S-2H-2NT = natural, game values
- 1C-1S-2H-3D = cuebid or looking for stopper, game values
- All other 4th
suit bids are forcing (to game if a reverse or at level 3, for 1 round
otherwise) - either looking for a stopper or preparing a forcing raise
in partner’s suit. I suspect that this may also be with a 5+5+ limit hand intending to repeat the 4th suit later.
- All other 1/2/3NT: Not
forcing
- New suit forcing after
opener’s suit re-bid. Forcing to Game at level 3, for 1 round
at level 2. The most economical new suit may
not be natural at all! Opener
gives priority to showing a 3-card fit in advancer’s first
suit. For example:
- 1C-1H/S-2C-2D: Round

- 1C-1S-2C-2H: Round

- Jump to new suit at level 3
after opener’s suit re-bid: 5+5+, forcing. These are the
possibilities:
- 1C-1S-2C-3D/H
- 1D-1S-2D-3H
- 1C-1H-2C-3D
- Jump to the 4th suit at level 3: 5+5+, forcing.
- Return to opener’s
suit (except 2C checkback)
after a NT re-bid by opener: non-forcing.
- Jump to advancer’s
suit at level 3: 6+ suit, non-forcing. In order to force the game with
a 6+ suit the advancer must transit via 4SF, Check-back or
“New suit forcing after opener’s suit
re-bid”. For example:
- No moderating bid after opener's jump shift
- All other raises or
preferences (simple or double) of opener’s suits are non-forcing:
- 1C-1H-1S-2/3S
- 1H-2C-2D-3D
- 1C-1D-2C-3C
- 1D-2C-2H-3D: Forcing olny because 2H is game forcing
